Stefan Kruse (B. 1987, Esbjerg) is a research-based filmmaker and visual artist working with ethical and philosophical questions related to technical image production. Exploring different ways of seeing and experiencing the antics and bureaucratic nature of the modern world, Stefan exerts a playful approach to narrative storytelling. Often rooted in personal anecdotes, his work investigates human perception, mass media image circulation, surveillance technologies and ties to the military industrial complex. Concerned with seemingly invisible industrial and political structures, Stefan proposes an alternative space for critical reflection. In July 2024 he completed his Post Graduate at the Kunsthochschule für Medien Köln. Most recently, he published his first art publication STEFAN KRUSE A LACK OF CLARITY, with Buchhandlung Walther König.
